Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed
ALICE represents Hoosier households with income above the Federal Poverty Level but below the basic cost of living.
Some of these individiuals may be local childcare workers, home health aides, store clerks and office assistants. Many of them are forced to make hard financial decisions. And, having a job
that doesn't pay enough to cover life's expenses sometimes disqualifies them from needed social services and support.
As these individiuals and families face challenges, so does the community. The ALICE Report provides research-based data on Indiana's ALICE population and their financial situation. The
original report was released in 2014 with an update report released every two years.
