"That's What It's All About"

2018 Spirit Award Winner: Joseph Baker

The Spirit Awards celebrate passionate, courageous individuals who are dedicated to serving their communities and exhibiting what it means to Live United. With the help of The Times of Northwest Indiana, United Way of Porter County collected 27 incredible stories of volunteerism throughout the region!

A volunteer selection committee then chose eight extraordinary individuals for the 2018 Spirit Awards.

One winner was Joseph Baker, a retired electrical engineer who volunteers as an electronics instructor at the Porter County Career and Tech Center. To read more about Joseph's work, click here.
