Safe Place Youth Program

CRISIS CENTER is an emergency hotline and referral service staffed by trained volunteers to provide a listening ear for anyone in crisis. If need assistance, call (800) 519-0469 or (800) SUICIDE (784-2433).

The center also runs the Safe Place program for youth ages 10 to 18 in Northwest Indiana. Assisting youth who have run away from home, been pushed out of their home, are homeless or just need to talk. Youth in crisis can walk into any business or mobile site that displays the Safe Place logo to receive assistance. Staff responds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to talk with the youth, transport them to an emergency shelter and/or provide other support services for them and their family.
