Want to help? Here's how.

Many residents will struggle to recover from the effects of the coronavirus outbreak -- struggling more than they already do. Loss of wages and health. More expenses. Invest in your community right now to help it thrive.

Donate up to $300 in 2020 and claim the new above-the-line tax deduction. This new universal tax deduction is in addition to standard deductions already available, only available to those who don't itemize and only available in 2020. Read more here.

The Coronavirus Pandemic Relief Fund has been established to help with immediate needs and long-term recovery in Northwest Indiana. Your contribution will stay local and go to support those most affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

We've teamed up with inHealth Ambulance to provide a central drop-off location for any personal protective equipment donations. Donations can include things such as face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and eye protection wear. Donations of homemade masks are also accepted. Donations will go to medical workers in Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties.

Two Drop-off Locations

  • 153 W U.S. Hwy 6, Valparaiso, IN; Monday-Saturday from 8am to 8pm
  • 2429 45th Street, Highland, IN; open 24/7 -- donations go in the bin outside of the building

Look for signs that say DROP OFF HERE: Masks, gloves, face shields, and gowns for healthcare workers
