Power of Youth

 Youth Living United

"Porter County High School students, becoming community leaders, making an impact and living united.”

A Little History:
Power of Youth was created through the United Way of Porter County Americorps Grant on December 6, 2007. The Power of Youth council consists of students from every Porter County high school who exhibit a passion for community through service and leadership.

What Does the Power of Youth Offer?
The Power of Youth offers students a chance to become advocates on issues that affect teens in their community. With their current focus of building self-esteem in teens, they conduct fundraisers and allocate funds to community programs that benefit their cause. They also do community service projects, build leadership skills, have access to a larger network of like-minded teens, and the opportunity to learn from the United Way of Porter County.
