Computer Services, Inc. (CSI), a provider of end-to-end financial technology solutions, has been named Company of the Year by United Way of Porter County. CSI received the award at the association’s 2015 United Way and Funds Volunteer of the Year Awards banquet, which was held on March 5, 2015, at the Westin Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana.
While the company’s official headquarters are located in Paducah, Ky., CSI’s location in Valparaiso, Indiana, specifically focuses on managing relationships as part of the company’s payments processing and card services solutions. The employees in this location work closely with United Way of Porter County on campaigns that include charitable giving and community volunteerism.
“CSI is a business leader, a civic leader and a United Way champion,” said Sharon Kish, president of the United Way of Porter County. “We are most grateful for all that they do for our community and are delighted to be able to honor them as the Company of the Year.”
Throughout the past five years, more than 70 percent of CSI’s Valparaiso-based employees have actively participated in donating to United Way of Porter County. As a result, the company has increased its giving campaign by 10 percent each year and offers a 50 percent corporate match, which enabled the company to donate more than $60,000 in 2014. In addition, CSI was instrumental in helping to bring e-pledge campaigns to Porter County by volunteering to pay half the cost of the software module.
“We are deeply honored to be recognized as Company of the Year, and we look forward to continuing our involvement with the United Way, both in Porter County and in the other communities where we live and work,” said Steve Powless, chief executive officer at CSI. “As our company enters its 50th year in operation, we remain dedicated to offering our support to the communities that have helped foster our success and to giving back wherever possible.”
Year-after-year, CSI has been a consistent and valued supporter of United Way. The company has 23 locations nationwide, with many of them supporting their local United Way by volunteering for the organization’s annual Day of Caring and participating in local projects that allow employees to take an active role with their communities.
