STEM Coaches Sought for Canstruction® Event!

What is Canstruction® you ask?

It's a collaborative initiative with United Way in cooperation with Congressman Pete Visclosky and Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.  What's the mission?  To feed and inspire the world – one can at a time.  Canstruction® is a unique charity which hosts competitions, exhibitions and events showcasing colossal structures made entirely out of full cans of food. After the structures are built, the creations go on display to the public as a giant art exhibition. At the end of the event, all food will be donated to the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana for distribution within our communities.

This event is brand new to Northwest Indiana - we're happy to be hosting events leading up to, and including the "build" on July 25th at Southlake Mall.  Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities available.

Please contact our office at 219-464-3583 or email Mackenna Dickt.  We are specifically looking for individuals who can to "Coach" a team. More information is available here.  Experience with junior high aged children is a plus!
