Day of Caring
What is the Day of Caring?
This annual event celebrates volunteerism throughout Northwest Indiana by bringing together teams from local businesses, municipalities, churches and civic groups to complete projects and make significant impact on the non-profit community.
Held this year on Friday, August 22nd, the day begins with a kickoff breakfast in each county, then teams head out to the agencies where there have chosen to volunteer.
This event is a remarkable team builder for employee groups and allows volunteers to see firsthand the great work accomplished by our non-profits in Northwest Indiana.
Kick-off breakfasts will be held the morning of Friday, August 22nd. The Lake County breakfast will be at The Avalon in Merrillville at 8:30am. The Porter County breakfast will be at Strongbow Inn in Valparaiso at 8:00am.
When you register, be sure to include your teammates names, emails, and preferred shirt sizes. Free Day of Caring t-shirts will be given to volunteers, but sizes cannot be guaranteed.
Hope to see you on the 22nd!
