Day of Caring

The annual United Way Youth Day of Caring is where high school students across Northwest Indiana come together to protect our environment and help a local non-profit. Meet students from other schools, bond with your friends, learn about the environment at Taltree Arboretum & Gardens, as well as enjoy a cookout, live band and free tshirt!

*Please print your Permission Form and turn in signed copy the morning of the event. Permission forms are necessary to participate!

*T-shirt sizes are first come first serve.

*Live music at the cookout by The Concept!

*Work gloves donated by Root Brothers Manufacturing & Supplies!

What is the Day of Caring?

This annual event celebrates volunteerism throughout Northwest Indiana by bringing together teams from local businesses, municipalities, churches and civic groups to complete projects and make significant impact on the nonprofit community. This event is a remarkable team builder for employee groups and allows volunteers to see firsthand the great work accomplished by our nonprofits in Northwest Indiana.

Held on Friday, August 12th, United Way Day of Caring begins with a kickoff breakfast in each county, then you and your team head out to the non-profit where you chose to volunteer.

Registration will be open June 1st on!

When you register, be sure to include your teammates names, emails, and preferred shirt sizes. Free Day of Caring t-shirts will be given to volunteers, but sizes cannot be guaranteed.
