What is the Day of Caring?
This annual event celebrates volunteerism throughout Northwest Indiana by bringing together teams from local businesses, municipalities, churches and civic groups to complete projects and make significant impact on the nonprofit community. This event is a remarkable team builder for employee groups and allows volunteers to see firsthand the great work accomplished by our nonprofits in Northwest Indiana.
Held on Friday, August 12th, United Way Day of Caring begins with a kickoff breakfast in each county, then you and your team head out to the non-profit where you chose to volunteer.
Registration will be open June 1st on www.nwivolunteer.org!
When you register, be sure to include your teammates names, emails, and preferred shirt sizes. Free Day of Caring t-shirts will be given to volunteers, but sizes cannot be guaranteed.
