50 Years of Making a Difference!

For 50 years the United Way has been the leader in community-based human-care efforts. Founded in 1957 as the United Fund of Porter County, United Way has always reflected the best this community has to offer.

Our history is one in which we can all take pride. Today, we raise over $2.0 million annually for services to help local people in need. Services for the disabled, the homeless and hungry, and many more are supported.

Building on the success of the past, our Endowment/Planned Giving Program is designed to ensure United Way will remain a vibrant force into the future.

Endowment Development
Increasing Funding For Needed Services

The United Way Endowment was established in 1984.

United Way leadership seeks to increase the Endowment through a long-term planned giving program. This program offers donors a menu of giving vehicles to incorporate into their estate, tax, and retirement planning.

Through United Way of Porter County, you can make a difference in the lives of children, families, and senior citizens. By taking the time to carefully consider and plan for your charitable gifts, you may find you can give more effectively and gain even greater satisfaction in the process.
