Day of Caring 2008
View and Pick Your Day of Caring Project NOW!
Form a team, pick your project, and lend a helping hand. On Friday, Aug. 22nd or Sat. morning, Aug. 23rd, be a part of this Regional event celebrating volunteerism throughout Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. Whether you're painting a room, planting flowers, or taking kids fishing, you don't want to miss out on this remarkable event.

by the Volunteer Center and the VU Softball Team, this unique program
collects, new, small, stuffed animals that are placed in elementary
schools throughout NW Indiana. The animals are used as counseling tools
by the Guidance Counselors to comfort young children “going through a
rough time”. To donate new stuffed animals or to make a monetary
donation contact Kathy at (219) 464-3583.
