A letter from Katy
Here are the pics I mentioned. They are from the top of the Thorung La Pass in the Annapurna Region of Nepal, at 17,770 feet. It took us 11 days to hike there, and then nearly another week to reach our end point. We were on the trail (called the Annapurna Circuit) for Thanksgiving and were quite homesick. We’re still in Nepal, and are heading to Kathmandu tomorrow to rejoin an American-based nonprofit called the Nepal Orphans Home, through which we’ll be volunteering until Christmas. Should be a rewarding experience, as the children here are just fantastic.
