2009 DAY OF CARING
On August 28th, 2009 the United Way Regional Volunteer Center had over 1,800 volunteers participate in the Day of Caring. Volunteers were sent around their counties to various organizations and offered their help by painting buildings, washing windows, constructing wheelchair ramps, cleaning up parks, and so much more!

All the work that the fabulous volunteers did can be valued at a whopping $145,800 of work that would otherwise be paid for out of much needed agency funds that can now be used to improve the lives of our communities. We would like to say thank you to all the volunteers for their hard work and we hope to see you all again next year!

THANK YOU! Thank you for everything you do today and every day. Your impact affected people in ways you will never completely understand.
Thank you,
From the staff at the United Way Regional Volunteer Center, United Way of Porter County staff and each and every agency and it’s recipients.
